Popular culture is generally recognized by members of a society as a set of the practices, beliefs, and objects that are dominant or prevalent in a society at a given point in time (Wikipedia). In the church, one practice that should be prevalent is prayer. It is clear in Scripture, from the prophets to Jesus to the apostles, that prayer should be popular culture among believers.
For TOWNE, we will be People Of Prayer: POP Culture. We invite anyone who is part of Towne Church to be part of our POP Culture Prayer Team. Partners sign up for a specific day of prayer each month (i.e. the 20th of each month). Several people could share the same day, if need be. They will be asked to pray in these ways:
1. Weekly from the prayer list email that will be sent out.
2. Monthly specifically pray for the church and the leadership their designated day.
3. Annually attend the prayer partners gathering. (Times TBA)
